Galata Tower Contributes Significantly to Istanbul's Brand Image

For Istanbul, Galata Tower has been playing an important role in the city skyline for centuries. Galata Tower Illuminated by Green with New Generation Lighting Project

After a long and detailed planning and projecting process, the exterior lighting system of the Galata Tower was realized by emphasizing its aesthetic values, taking into account its location and the lighting structure of the region, and producing special products. Thanks to the Green Lighting products used in the tower body lighting, energy savings of up to 80% were achieved compared to conventional lighting fixtures. The number of visitors to the Galata Tower, illuminated with Green Lighting products, increased significantly after the new lighting.

The legendary love of the Galata Tower and the Maiden's Tower, which has been told in stories for centuries and has survived to the present day, and their inability to meet each other, also took place as a symbol in lighting design.

Morse Code was used in the luminaire on the cone window of the tower. The lights, flashing from time to time, were depicted as the expression of Galata Tower's undying love for the Maiden's Tower.

Green; continues to add value to both cultural tourism and the country's economy by shedding light on our past and our future with the Galata Tower, one of our historical values within the scope of the “New Generation Lighting Project”.
