The museum consists of three main units: the Museum of Ancient Oriental Art, the Archaeological Museum and the Tiled Pavilion Museum. Its collection includes many important artefacts from antiquity, including the Sarcophagus of Alexander, the Sarcophagus of Weeping Women and the treasures of Troy. The Istanbul Archaeological Museum offers visitors a wide range of history and is filled with artefacts brought from all over the world.
